This photo inspired me to find more photos of open shelving above desks. I assume these people are not in earthquake country...and look at how beautiful and organized these shelves are!
And, of course, why not have your computer above your computer...

hmmm, living in earthquake territory do we really want shelving over our desks? Of course, if we don't work from home I guess that's ok... but, otherwise, I'm not so sure ;(
